Reimagine women’s health through art, design, and storytelling.

Bloody Beautiful 2025 was a one-day creative festival by affect lab that explored the magical, messy and often-misunderstood worlds of menstruation and menopause. It was a day full of bold talks, art, performances, technology and design that reimagined the future of women’s health. We weren’t gathered to whisper about cycles — we were there to reframe the conversation entirely.

This first-ever Bloody Beautiful Festival celebrated Solidarity as its key theme. In a time that seems fractured by difference and division, care for all people is urgent, but most especially for women. Solidarity is closely tied to the Bloody Beautiful mission, and these days brought together creatives, thinkers and doers with diverse perspectives to imagine new possibilities.

Who was there?

More than 30 speakers in conversation on women’s health; designers, artists, sociologists, femtech innovators, city officials, healthcare professionals, human resources thinkers, activists, and hormone experts.

All around, we could see new friendships forming. It was difficult to guide people back into the presentation spaces after the coffee breaks, because the conversations between people were flowing. Researchers, artists and scientists who had heard about each other's work or even been emailing for years met in person for the first time at the festival. Someone told us, “I think I found my people.” We think we did too.
