Bloody Beautiful

Bloody Beautiful is an international movement amplifying stories about womxn’s health through art and design. Founded by affect lab, the movement has reached almost one million people in its mission to improve the gender health gap; shifting narratives about womxn’s health from stigma to collective care.

Bloody Beautiful invites change-makers, artists, designers, researchers and the general public to explore how we talk, make and design for health challenges that affect half the world’s population. Bloody Beautiful is a creative impulse. It aims to create new cultural imaginaries around womxn-specific conditions including premenstrual tension, menopause, PCOS, endometriosis, heavy bleeding, pelvic organic prolapse, birth trauma and more.

Catch the Bloody Beautiful Festival, taking place bi-annually in Amsterdam (next edition is in 2027) bringing together global experts, speakers, makers, grassroots organisers, artists, architects and designers to imagine new possibilities for womxn’s health.

Bloody Beautiful hosts Gossip Sessions throughout the year. These public gatherings take place online and in person and feature key artists and technologists working towards the same mission. All events are listed on our Events page. We’d love to see you there.
